Anyone who spends much time at the beach knows that American Herring Gulls will eat pretty much anything, including a beachgoers own picnic. Snakes are only a small proportion of their diet, but on Star Island on May 17, 2026, Scott Bosse managed to video the unusual and captivating scene of a gull eating a snake.
